Ms. Emily Xu
YBA Balestier Principal

Ms. Emily started her training at Shanghai Far East Ballet Academy. She then came to Singapore on a government scholarship and studied at LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts and was awarded Diploma in Dance. She then received a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Dance from the Open University, UK. Ms. Emily has taught ballet and contemporary dance since 2001 at 25 primary and secondary schools in Singapore and has received many Gold SYF Awards for her choreography.

Ms. Emily has trained YBA soloists since our inception and her students have gone on to win many Gold, 1st and Overall Awards at competitions such as Asian Dance Arts Festival, Asian Elite Dance Competition, Get The Beat Australia International Dance Competition, Hong Kong Challenge Cup.
