Ms. Phyllis Leong
Ballet Teacher

Ms. Phyllis started ballet when she was only 2 years old. She is part of the YBA Teacher Training Programme under Ms. Yan’s guidance and mentorship. She is a Yan Ballet Academy Elite student and Soloist, frequently participating in local and international dance competitions, recently receiving 2nd place in the Miami International Ballet Competition in Hong Kong. Ms. Phyllis completes the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Advanced Foundation exam in 2023. She is intimately familiar with the RAD curriculum and what is required to succeed to learn the technique in a safe manner.

Ms. Phyllis has rich performing experience. She has been a performer for Singapore Youth Ballet Company for two years, performing in the modern ballet play Journey through the Doldrums (2022) and Path after the Storm (2023). She also performed in the Singapore National Day Parade in 2023.

Ms. Phyllis has a deep passion for teaching ballet. Her aspiration extends beyond the studio; she hopes to inspire the next generation of dancers to not just master the movements but to embrace the artistry, discipline, and transformative power of ballet.
